The number of quality visitors attending the show across three extremely successful days surpassed the expectations of most of the 165 exhibitors at the event.
This year's exhibition ran alongside a group of other complementary shows - MACH, Subcon and Product Development - giving visitors the opportunity to update their complete manufacturing strategy at a single venue.
For the first time, the BARA-organised Machine Safety conference also took place at the NEC at the same time thereby providing a further draw to visitors.
Exhibitors at Drives and Controls praised the high quality of contacts made during the show and were pleased that most of them were actively pursuing live projects.
Although a huge variety of technologies and applications was covered at the show, particularly keen interest was reported in the following areas: Industrial Electric Drives and Motors; Motion Control; Motor Control and Protection; Sensors and Systems; Variable Speed Drives; PLCs and Positioning Systems; Enclosures; Test and Measurement; Machine Safety Drives and Controls 2008 is already well into planning and will take place, again at the Birmingham NEC, from 22-24 April 2008.
