Exhibitor list fills for drives show

Demand for space at Drives and Controls 2008 has been extremely high and the show has almost sold all of its available space to exhibitors.

Over 40,000 visitors to the show and its co-locating events are expected in 2006.

The exhibition has attracted a mixture of the large multinational players and smaller, more specialised suppliers.

The big names at the show will include Control Techniques, Danfoss, Hitachi, Leroy Somer, Rittal, Schneider Electric, SEW Eurodrive, Siemens, WEG and Weidmuller.

Zettlex which will be showing a new, noncontacting technology for reliable and accurate position measurement even in harsh environments.

The show will also feature exhibitors with much broader product portfolios.

Technical distributors like RS Components and Lamonde Automation will be showcasing a ange of automation and process control products, network components, drives and tools.

Servomotors and gearheads are particularly well represented, with stands for Rotor UK, Japanese firm Fanuc and Stoke-based Alpha Gearheads.

Kenworth Products and its sister company Universal Motors will be showing three-phase and single-phase motors, as well as examples of ATEX-approved explosion-proof motors.

Steute is another manufacturer of equipment suitable for explosive atmospheres and is a market leader in the production of safety and control devices for industrial applications.

There will be a full programme of seminars running throughout the course of the event, covering a wide range of topics.

Together with Electrex, Air-Tech, Plant and Works and IFPEX, Drives and Controls runs from 22nd - 24th April at the NEC in Birmingham.
