Pressure sensors target HVAC and automotive uses

Compact robust pressure sensors are temperature compensated, have excellent EMI/RFI and ESD protection and exhibit superior output signal stability.

Kavlico has recently introduced two new sensors based on its next-generation ceramic sensing technology.

The P500 sensors can be specified with a brass housing for pressure ranges of 0-6.9 to 0-34.5bar absolute or sealed gauge or with a stainless-steel housing for pressure ranges up to 51.7bar.

The sensors require a 5V DC power supply and provide a linear amplified analogue output of 0.5 to 4.5V DC proportional to pressure.

Ideal for high volume applications, these sensors are small in size yet quite robust by design.

Capable of withstanding high overpressures, the sensors are temperature compensated, have excellent EMI/RFI and ESD protection as well as superior output signal stability.

The sensors may be specified with an assortment of electrical and process connections including Schrader deflators for the refrigeration market.

The sensors carry the CE certification mark as well as being compliant with European RoHS directives.

Typical uses include a host of HVAC/R applications including refrigerant recovery, rooftop chillers and refrigeration compressors.

These sensors are also being used by the automotive sector for such applications as coolant, air, fuel, oil and refrigerant pressure.

Versatile by design, these multipurpose sensors have a total error band (TEB) of +/-2% over an operating range of -20 to +85C and are ideal in high shock and vibration environments.
