To complement their established industrial robots, Kawasaki Robotics has introduced the new Z Series, a heavy-duty range of models capable of being used in more arduous applications in production and handling.

The new models, with a choice of 3 types and 8 versions, offer an improved cycle time with a 10% to 20% improvement for a typical cycle compared to previous units.

They have a long reach, small dead space and full rotation of 360 degrees about joint 1 giving the Z series a wide working envelope.

The robots have a small footprint for saving space allowing installation in more confined areas.

The integrated air and electrical valve services, plus the built-in fork pockets, make for easy installation.

Together with its robust construction, the Z series has an IP67 rated wrist and IP65 rating for the arm overall, ensuring that they will withstand severe operating environments.

Ideal for use in assembling, spot welding, handling, foundry, sealant dispensing, palletising, etc., the new robots can be easily upgraded to give increased speed or load capacity by simple on site hardware or software additions.
