DriveWorks - Design Acceleration for SolidWorks

A DriveWorks product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 20, 2001

KB4 launched the DriveWorks design automation and productivity software at SolidWorks World in Orlando.

After 2 years intensive research, product development and rigorous testing, KB4 launched DriveWorks at SolidWorks World in Orlando.

DriveWorks is robust, effective design automation and productivity software for SolidWorks users and is the first product to achieve SolidWorks Research Partner status in Design Automation.

Increased competition brought about by the world-wide market has resulted in customers demanding unique solutions in reduced time and invariably within tight cost parameters.

Yet, unique solutions demand engineering input.

One way forward is to automate repetitive engineering tasks thereby allowing engineers to design more efficient solutions.

According to KB4 senior consultant Glen Smith, DriveWorks enables users to: * Reduce the time it takes to create variants from weeks to hours * Capture knowledge formally held by engineers * Distribute specific designs to non-technical staff and customers DriveWorks can be implemented cost effectively and for the first time brings Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) to a wider audience.

DriveWorks, like SolidWorks is easy to use and affordable.

DriveWorks operates on any Windows based PC.

SolidBase, one of the UK's leading SolidWorks resellers has been appointed the first reseller of DriveWorks.
