Headquartered in Belding, Michigan, Granco Clark is the leading North American manufacturer of automated aluminium extrusion equipment.

The company's custom heating and handling equipment automates the process of manufacturing extrusions from heated aluminium billets.

These are used in many different industries for a variety of product applications.

Each Granco Clark aluminium extrusion system is custom-designed for a specific customer's unique needs, so no two systems are identical.

Nick Benner, a Mechanical Engineer from Granco Clark, is flying in from the USA to present at Solid Modelling and reveal the cost and time savings achieved since moving from 2D to 3D CAD and since implementing DriveWorks for automating the custom design process.

His company had been searching for a KBE/design automation solution for almost two years.

"We can now create a set of manufacturing drawings for a 3500 piece assembly with over 300 unique components in less that an hour".

"Typically that used to take around eighty hours".

The presentation will also reveal how Granco Clark has: shortened design cycle by 25%; cut re-engineering and rework by 50%; reduced drawing errors by 50%; and improved design visualisation and presentation capabilities.
