Site helps users with design automation

A DriveWorks product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 24, 2007

With DriveWorksXpress included inside every seat of SolidWorks for 2008, DriveWorks has set up an online community to help users make more use of design automation.

Billed as a valuable resource for SolidWorks users, the new DriveWorksXpress User Community website includes videos, tutorials, a discussion forum and a section intriguingly called "What more can I do?".

DriveWorksXpress is recognised as the easy to use, rules-based design automation tool for SolidWorks engineers, allowing users to create multiple variations of parts, assemblies and drawings quickly and accurately.

DriveWorksXpress is now included inside every seat of SolidWorks for 2008.

Automation using DriveWorksXpress is easy: use a SolidWorks master assembly as the starting point to create customer specific variations; capture parameters and assign rules in DriveWorksXpress to determine new outputs; and create a form in DriveWorksXpress to enter the new requirements.

Run DriveWorksXpress again and again to produce new sets of parts, assemblies and drawings quickly and accurately and all based on rules.

Accessed via the DriveWorks homepage, the DriveWorksXpress User Community site is designed both for DriveWorksXpress users and those wanting to find out more about design automation.
