Now available exclusively in the UK from KEC, is the Inotec DGA range of low profile, piggy-back adaptor shielded hoods for 'D' type connectors.

Providing high levels of EMI/RFI shielding, the key feature of the DGA range is that, in addition to a cable outlet, there is an entry on both sides for the adaptor, both of which can accommodate a standard 'D' connector.

This allows the system to be used as a piggy-back adaptor, a cable splitter or a gender adaptor.

Interconnection is provided by an in-built printed circuit board that can also be used for filters or active circuits.

If no connector is fitted into the rear of the hood, the opening is closed by a metal plate that can also accommodate system components such as LEDs, mini switches and coaxial connectors.

DGA backshells have a lower profile than standard 'D' type backshells with 9, 15, 25, and 37 way configurations being housed in a 30mm backshell compared with the standard 40mm.

Manufactured from die-cast zinc, the DGA range is fitted with a jackscrew locking system for high levels of vibration resistance.
