Cobra Head is the name of a new range of low profile backshells from KEC that can provide screening, sealing and strain relief for all sizes of standard circular connectors So called because of the shape of its special design, Cobra Head provides top levels of screening and its low profile provides a height saving of over 50% over conventional right angle backshells

The conductors are fed through the Cobra Head where they are terminated on the connector.

Individually designed to meet specific customer requirements depending on the size of the cable and type of termination method that is required, the range caters for both overall and individual screening, plus sealing and strain relief if required.

All standard techniques within the KEC range, designed to meet a wide range of EMC specifications, can be incorporated into these new backshells.
