Pressure gauge suits hazardous environments

A Keller UK product story

Pressures between vacuum and 1000bar can be measured using the five standard pressure range options on Keller's LEX1Ei.

Keller has released the LEX1Ei intrinsically safe, battery powered digital pressure gauge has ATEX approval II 2 G EEx ia IIC T6 and is suitable for deployment in Zone 0 hazardous areas.

Pressures between vacuum and 1000bar can be measured using the five standard pressure range options.

The LEX1Ei is a digitally compensated instrument.

Errors attributable to sensor nonlinearity and temperature effects are virtually eliminated.

The standard gauge provides an uncertainty of measurement of +/-0.05%FS and this can be improved to a precision of +/-0.01%FS with additional factory calibration.

Mounted onto Keller's range of pneumatic and hydraulic hand-pumps, the LEX1Ei proves to be an affordable portable pressure calibration standard for testing of field based instrumentation.

The series 46XEi intrinsically safe submersible level transmitter has been designed for measurement of very low liquid levels in hazardous areas.

Qualified ATEX II 1/2 G EEx ia IIC T4 the transmitter is available in full-scale pressure ranges from just 30mbar with analogue output signals of 4-20mA or 0-10V.

Total error bands of +/-0.1%FS are achievable over 10 to 50C by using digital compensation techniques.

The 46XEi has an RS485 digital interface as standard and is both programmable and bus capable.

These recent additions complement Keller's range of intrinsically safe and flameproof pressure metrology equipment which includes pressure transmitters, amplified pressure transducers, digital pressure gauges and indicators.

Data sheets for all of these ATEX qualified products can be viewed on the Keller website or alternatively, a detailed product catalogue is freely available.
