Pressure transmitters handle wide range

A circuit no larger than a penny coin compensates the Pisello pressure transmitter against fluctuations in operating temperature.

Keller has released Pisello 20P miniaturised, absolute pressure transmitters, featuring optimised temperature compensation and a measuring range of 10 to 600bar A circuit no larger than a penny coin compensates the Pisello pressure transmitter against fluctuations in operating temperature

A temperature sensor in the PromComp circuit divides the operating temperature range into fields with a width of 1.5K each.

Two compensation values are assigned to each field in an Eeprom; one value for the zero point and the other for the amplification.

These values are determined by mathematical interpolation in the calibration process.

During operation, the corresponding values are switched in at the relevant temperatures.

Temperature fluctuations of up to 100K can be compensated in this way, enabling Keller to achieve a typical measurement accuracy of +/-0.5%FS , including nonlinearity and hysteresis, over the full compensated temperature range.

The output signal from the pressure transmitter, is 0.5-4.5V.

The type 20P transmitter can operate with voltage supplies of as little as 8V DC and up to 28V DC.

With a diameter of 13mm and a weight of just 11g, this makes them ideal for space-sensitive applications including on-vehicle and mobile hydraulics.

The housing, with its threaded pressure connection (M8, M6 or 10-32 UNF) is entirely welded with no internal O rings and meets the requirements for protection class IP67. Request a free brochure from Keller UK ...
