Force sensors aid product testing

A Kistler Instruments product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 25, 2002

For product testing of components such as switches, plugs, springs etc Kistler can supply a large variety of sensitive force sensors for tensile and pressure forces, and also for torques.

The key to a successful new product is to carry out comprehensive testing during development, and to monitor quality continuously during production.

For product testing of components such as switches, plugs, springs etc Kistler can supply a large variety of sensitive force sensors for tensile and pressure forces, and also for torques.

On mobile telephones for example, the Type 9203, 9205 and 9207 high-sensitivity force sensors provide reliable measurements of key-pressure forces from 0.5N upwards.

In drop tests on Kistler force-measurement platforms, the mobile telephones are also subjected to a stability check.

The flexible construction of the force sensors meets the most stringent requirements in product testing.

With flat, disc-shaped (SlimLine up to 60kN) or rod-shaped force sensors, Kistler supports the innovation of future-oriented products.
