Charge amp makes sense of piezo sensor
output
A new miniature single-channel charge amplifier converts the charge signal from any piezoelectric sensor into a proportional voltage signal.
MiniAmp Type 5030A, the new miniature single-channel charge amplifier from Kistler, converts the charge signal from all piezoelectric sensors into a proportional voltage signal The rugged, dust and watertight IP65 metal housing, together with its extremely compact design and attractive price, make the new MiniAmp particularly suitable for industrial applications

Sensor measures mould cavity pressure indirectly
Cavity pressure is usually measured with the sensor fitted directly in the mould cavity, but Kistler's new PinSens force sensor type 9204 is ideal for indirect cavity pressure measurement
One of the many possible fields of application of the MiniAmp is machinery and process monitoring in the manufacturing industry, an area in which operating conditions are generally harsh and the available space restricted.
The small size and light weight of the charge amplifier allows installation where space is limited, even on moving parts.
For the input signal, two fixed measuring ranges (10:1) are available which can be switched via digital inputs even under load.
The output signal of 110V can be processed and monitored by any data acquisition equipment.
The integrated digital inputs (17L level), the MiniAmp can be used easily in conjunction with industrial PLC control systems.
