PSA Peugeot-Citroen is upgrading its French crash test centre with the installation of the Kistler SmartCrash system.

PSA joins Audi and BMW as the third European motor manufacturer to install the system since its launch in 2004.

With its ultradynamic quartz measurement technology and integrated data processing, the SmartCrash system embodies the latest multicomponent force measurement technology specifically developed for crash barrier instrumentation.

The Microdau architecture and intelligent hub design combines simple configuration and setup with safe and reliable operation.

The new PSA crash test facility is expected to begin operations in mid-2006.
