Sensor measures mould cavity pressure indirectly
Cavity pressure is usually measured with the sensor fitted directly in the mould cavity, but Kistler's new PinSens force sensor type 9204 is ideal for indirect cavity pressure measurement
These products allow quality assurance as an integral part of an automated assembly process.
In the past, Staiger Mohilo has marketed its products mainly in Germany and Kistler's international distribution network, comprising 15 group owned sales companies, will open up new sales opportunities in over 30 countries.
For Kistler, the takeover means expansion of its range of torque sensors.
Although mainly for industrial applications, Staiger Mohilo sensors are increasingly being used in electric motors and hybrid engines.
In addition, the acquisition will provide Kistler with additional expertise to further enhance its own capability in strain gauge technology.
