Pressure transmitter cuts weighing costs

A Kistler Instruments product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 20, 2008

A single cable carries measurement control, range selection interface and excitation voltage, as well as the signal output.

The Type 9337A press force transmitter from Kistler Instruments has been developed specifically to meet the needs of QA (quality assurance) monitoring of volume production.

The integrated, digital charge amplifier providing a normalised voltage output signal eliminates the need for expensive, screened cables.

A single cable carries measurement control, range selection interface and excitation voltage, as well as the signal output.

The serial interface allows all operational parameters to be set remotely.

For test purposes, the digital measurement data can be transmitted at a reduced data rate.

The IP67-sealed transmitters are suitable for use in dirty and wet industrial environments.

ManuWare software is included, providing a set of flexible tools for a wide variety of manufacturing measurement and monitoring applications.

Flanges at both ends of the transmitter simplify direct mounting on the bed of the press tool while the elimination of the need for routine re-calibration makes the Type 9337A force transmitter suited to volume manufacturing applications.
