Kistler releases triaxial accelerometer

A Kistler Instruments product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 25, 2008

The Type 8765A triaxial accelerometer from Kistler Instruments is for use in industrial environments at temperatures from -55C to 165C and acceleration of +/- 250g with minimal sensitivity variation.

The triaxial design allows shock and vibration measurements in three orthogonal axes using the Piezostar sensing element and integrated high-gain hybrid electronics in a hermetically-sealed titanium case.

The Type 8765A accelerometer is suitable for applications requiring a combination of rugged construction, high-temperature capability and long-term reliability.

It is 15mm square and 8.6mm high and weighs 6.4g.

Mounting is by wax, adhesive or a single screw through the central hole.

The signal output is via a miniature four-pin ceramic insulated connector and the case is ground isolated to ensure signal integrity.
