Workholding surgery from Kitagawa at Mach
Live demonstrations of Kitagawa's ability to develop custom-engineered workholding solutions are being highlighted at Mach 2000
Live demonstrations of Kitagawa's ability to develop custom-engineered workholding solutions are being highlighted on stand 5437 in Hall 5 at the International Machine Tool Show, MACH 2000, to be held at the NEC, Birmingham, England between 10-14th April.
Through 'Dr Gary's Workholding Surgery', visitors to the Kitagawa Europe stand will be invited to bring examples of their own problem components - either as physical samples or engineering drawings - to challenge the capabilities of the company's workholding customisation services.
After importing relevant component information into his CAD system, Gary Morgan will then map the 3D part over standard Kitagawa workholding components to identify preferred location points and potential material clashes.
Gary will then use the information to develop a tailored workholding solution in real time, which the customer can take away as a fully specified and costed proposal.
"Adoption of such a hands-on approach to our presentation at MACH not only provides a powerful demonstration of the versatility of our workholding product ranges, but also the extent of our technical resources and commitment to customer service," comments Kitagawa's Sales Director, Colin Birch.
This dynamic approach is also echoed in Kitagawa's demonstration of other new products at MACH 2000 - in particular, the new Darex V291 drill sharpener, which is ideally suited to general machining and fabrication shop use.
Visitors can see the benefits of the new sharpener for themselves by bringing a blunt drill along to the Kitagawa stand and having it re-ground on the spot.
"Our presence at this year's show is the biggest yet," adds Mr Birch.
"There will be plenty of scope for face-to-face discussions and live demonstrations across our complete range of shopfloor products and technologies.
"What's more, our stand will provide a representative working environment; where visitors can discuss their projects, problems and ideas with our experienced engineering staff.
Experts from many of our partners, including Chick, Darex, Iemca, Absolent and Cooljet will be on hand throughout the show.
So, potential users will get no better opportunity to talk to engineers with a lifetime's knowledge of maximising the payback on a wide variety of specialist machine shop technologies.
