ATS collet chucks range added to
Kitagawa lineup

ATS low profile true length collet chucks, which are designed for use with all 'A' type and selected flat nose spindle machines, have adjustable TIR and concentricity

Leading shopfloor productivity solutions specialist, Kitagawa Europe has added the ATS range to its comprehensive portfolio of workholding solutions The new ATS products complement Kitagawa's comprehensive chuck ranges and will be demonstrated as part of the company's presentations on stands 234 and 238 at Tooling 2000, to be held at the NEC between 7th-9th November

Items on show will include low profile true length collet chucks, quick change true length collet chucks, and internal diameter workholding systems, alongside a variety of draw bars, location plates and accessories.

ATS low profile true length collet chucks are designed for use with all 'A' type and selected flat nose spindle machines.

They have adjustable TIR and concentricity, as well as fixed collet positions for maximum machining accuracy and repeatability.

Their compact design also provides increased tool clearance, Z-axis travel and rigidity - making them particularly suitable for secondary operations, sub-spindle applications and parts transfer.

Quick change true length chucks incorporate workpiece collets that can be changed in just 30 seconds for minimum production down time.

They also combine precise length control and true parallel workpiece gripping for maximum piece part quality, while the units' short length body design gives increased tool clearance.

The ATS Internal Diameter workholding system is suitable for all spindle types and is actuated by the machine's existing hydraulic actuator and drawtube.

The unit's mandrel provides 360 degree component surface contact to ensure consistent and accurate work holding throughout the machining process.

All gripping surfaces are turned on customers' own machines to ensure concentricity of the mandrel with the spindle.

In addition, special soft mandrels are available in sizes up to 254mm diameter and 203mm long to suit individual machine configurations. Request a free brochure from Kitagawa Europe ...
