Kluber releases high-speed bearing greases

A Kluber Lubrication GB product story

Kluber Lubrication has introduced the Kluberspeed range of high-speed bearing greases.

The new range of greases includes Kluberspeed BF 42-12, Kluberspeed BF 72-22, Kluberspeed BF 72-23 and Kluberspeed BFP 42-32, offering a speed factor up to 2.3 million NDM.

The BFP 42-32 and BF 72-23 greases are suitable for angular-contact ball bearings and high-speed cylinder roller bearings, especially with steel/ceramic friction pairings in horizontal, vertical and inclined mounting positions and very high speeds.

Due to the base oil viscosities, chemical composition and extremely high mechanical stability of these greases, they are both more than capable of running at very high speeds at medium to high permanent temperatures.

The Kluberspeed BF 72-22 and Kluberspeed BF 42-12 are ideally suited for applications in which a coolant may be involved.

Both greases boast excellent resistance to water, further protecting the bearings, minimising premature failure and reducing maintenance costs.

As with the BFP 42-32 and BF 72-23, these two greases can be used for high-speed spindle bearings, for which they achieve a longer service life than conventional spindle-bearing greases.

Kluberspeed BF 72-22 is preferred for use in horizontally mounted spindles in milling, grinding, drilling machines and lathes running at high speeds and high permanent temperatures.

Such high speeds are frequently encountered in motor-powered spindle bearings.

The Kluberspeed BF 42-12 is an adhesive special-grease with good mechanical stability, offering faster running-in of spindle bearings and excellent low-temperature characteristics, enabling this grease to operate over a wide service-temperature range.

All four grease ranges are used for high-speed bearings in power tools; electric motors; electro-mechanical valve actuators; milling, grinding, turning and drilling spindles; lathes; and for greasing of tooth flanks in precision gears, for example bevel gears in milling machines.
