The Kempact Pulse 3000 is a new three-phase 400V 50/60Hz pulsed MIG/MAG welding inverter claimed to offer the end user an excellent power to weight ratio.

The Kempact Pulse 3000 is a new three-phase 400V 50/60Hz pulsed MIG/MAG welding inverter that Kemppi (UK) claims offers the end user an excellent power to weight ratio It weighs only 22kg and has a duty cycle of 250A at 40%

Portability, mobility and pulse arc performance are features of this machine, in that it is much lighter than a "traditional" unit with a separate wire feed unit, but with the same pulse arc characteristics.

It has been designed for a wide area of use including the automotive, construction, shipbuilding and steel furniture industries as well as general sheet fabrication and maintenance.

It can also be operated from generators, allowing it to be used in on-site applications and thanks to its compact size (580 x 280 x 440mm), it can be easily used "inside" fabrications such as railway carriages and buses.

Kemppi's "state of the art" power source technology has allowed the company's engineers to design the Kempact Pulse 3000, which is programmed as standard with the most commonly used filler material and shielding gas pulse programs used in fabrication shops.

The machine has the capability and capacity to store up to 400 files, allowing the user to store optimum welding parameters to one of 100 memory channels with five channels being accessible and controlled remotely when using a Kemppi PMT MIG gun with the RMT remote control.

Kemppi's latest easy to use Process Manager software provides the user with a choice of arc controls including MIG/MAG, synergic MIG/MAG, pulsed MIG/MAG and double pulse.

This inverter can be used with a wide range of filler wires from 0.6 to 1.2mm in diameter, and numerous arc control parameters provide the user with high quality trouble free welding capabilities.

Special arc start functions including optional hot and creep start provide versatility to the machine and creates less spatter and the need for post weld cleaning.

For extra mobility this inverter can be supplied with either a two- or four-wheel undercarriage.

It can also be mounted on a boom using a special purpose hook.

As an option, Kemppi's lightweight 6m Weldsnake MIG gun with its smooth patented DL Teflon liner, gives the user an extended work area, especially when using aluminium and stainless steel wires, without the need for a heavy push-pull welding gun.
