A new PC/104 plus frame grabber has recently been announced by Kane Computing.

The Picasso 104 offers real-time image capture that can easily be integrated into an embedded system.

The various models offer both monochrome and colour options supporting RS170 CCIR601, composite and S-video inputs plus interlaced video and progressive scan formats at up to 120 images per second.

Optically isolated digital input/outputs are also provided for control purposes and the board consumes less than 4.2 units of power.

Support for Windows 95/98/200/N, VxWorks (x86) and Linux/RT Linux is provided.

The Picasso PC/104 frame grabbers are part of a range of similar frame grabbers supporting standard PCI bus and Compact PCI bus formats.
