Kerk Motion Products has developed its Mini Series of non-ball lead screw assemblies for a variety of medical device applications.

The Mini Series is an ideal solution to the medical device industry's demanding miniature applications, such as miniature pumps and dispensing systems, and laser and optical focusing mechanisms.

As medical devices become smaller and smaller, the need for miniature components has increased dramatically.

Kerk's Mini Series' size has adapted to the changing technology, providing the same high performance as larger screws, but in a smaller version.

Recently, Kerk Motion Products teamed up with Deltec, a world-leading medical device manufacturer, to design a solution for Deltec's specialised insulin pump for diabetics.

The end result was a miniaturised component tailored specifically to the sleek profile of the pump.

Built to last hundreds of millions of inches of travel without requiring external lubrication, maintenance or adjustment, Kerk's Mini Series exhibits outstanding performance, allowing new designs and inventions to be manufactured at previously unattainable sizes and costs.

Kerk's Mini Series is offered in antibacklash and general-purpose lead screw assemblies, in Kerk's NTB, NTG and B-Series.

The lead screws are made of 303 stainless steel, and are available with Kerk's proprietary, long-life TFE coating.

Designed to run smoothly and efficiently on Kerk's precision rolled screws, the assemblies' maintenance-free nuts are manufactured with self-lubricating polymers.

The Mini Series is provided with standard diameters as small as 0.125in.

Custom diameters less than 2mm as well as custom designed nuts are also available.
