The LR Series linear rail system is designed for light load applications where minimal frictional drag, long wear life and low cost are the primary concerns.

New from Kerk Motion Products, the LR Series linear rail system is designed for light load applications where minimal frictional drag, long wear life and low cost are the primary concerns Ideal applications include: office automation, bench top automation, medical analysis equipment, data storage equipment, general purpose positioning in pick and place equipment, general and electronic assembly and dispensing systems

The LR Series system consists of a centreless ground and burnished stainless-steel shaft mated with a graphite- and PTFE-filled thermoplastic bushing, formulated so that thermal fluctuations have minimal effect on system performance.

Kerk's LR Series is available with or without TFE coating, and requires no lubrication or maintenance.

This proprietary coating increases lubricity, extends life on support shafts and is available with both the stainless and alloy steel models.

Kerk's LR Series features a standard shaft straightness of 0.05mm per foot.

The typical radial clearance between shaft and bushing is 0.013mm on noncoated assemblies and 0.025mm on TFE coated assemblies.

Bushings are manufactured with standard retaining ring grooves.

Standard configurations for the LR Series include 0.25, 0.375, 0.5 and 0.75in nominal diameters.

Kerk Motion Products can provide custom diameters and bushings, including multifunction bushings and combined lead screw/linear rail assemblies.
