Kerk Motion Products has announced the RGSO 10000 Slide for linear motion applications in the packaging industry.
This screw-driven slide is for use in various industrial packaging applications, including plastic bottle unscramblers, shrinkbundlers, stretchbanders, tray shrink packaging systems, wrap around case packers, secondary orienters and canister desiccant feeders.
It builds off of an intelligent motion control capability that differentiates between different sized and shaped packaging containers and products.
The slide has a precision aluminium guide and carriage and is driven by a rolled stainless steel lead screw.
The moving surfaces include Kerkite polymers running on Kerkote TFE coating.
The slide builds on the RGS platform first introduced with the RGS 6000, handling dynamic axial loads of up to 45kg and at speeds of more than 150cm/s.
It is compact, self-contained and backlash and maintenance free.
