Krohne has the only dedicated rigs in the UK accredited by UKAS to calibrate Coriolis mass flowmeters.

Krohne's reputation for industry-leading quality and reliability has been endorsed formally by the UK Accreditation Service (UKAS) The company's calibration facility at its Wellingborough-based plant has been awarded UKAS certification to ISO17025

UKAS is the sole accreditation body in the UK recognised by Government to assess, against internationally recognised standards, organisations that provide certification, testing inspection and calibration services.

Krohne has five calibration rigs which are now the only dedicated rigs in the UK accredited by UKAS to calibrate Coriolis mass flowmeters.

They have been approved for testing mass and volume flow to 0.035% and 0.038% uncertainty, respectively, at flow rates from 1125 to 247,100kg/h.

The accreditation enables the company to carry out custody transfer calibration and seal instruments according to the requirements of OIML R117 without the need for customers to undertake additional on-site calibration.

This can save substantial time and money.

"Attaining UKAS approval is of great benefit to us", said Eddie Bridges, International Product Group Manager for Mass Flow at Krohne.

"We can now demonstrate formally that we meet strict internationally recognised calibration criteria, which we will apply to all products we supply".

Krohne's calibration laboratory has been given the number 0812 and is listed on the UKAS website.
