Kuka Robotics has been selected by SEIS Group of Huntington Beach, California to supply its Kuka KR 180 PA palletising robot and PalletTech palletising software for SEIS' new palletising cells.

Kuka Robotics has been selected by SEIS Group of Huntington Beach, California to supply its Kuka KR 180 PA palletising robot and PalletTech palletising software for SEIS' new palletising cells Kuka Robotics recently partnered with SEIS to expand its robotic integration services across the western USA and will be debuting the new palletising cell and robotics capabilities at the upcoming ATX West Show in Anaheim, California between 31st January and 2nd February 2006

"We are delighted to have been selected by SEIS to provide our products for their new palletising cells", said Joe Campbell, Director Of strategic Alliances for Kuka Robotics Corporation.

"SEIS Group's automation integration experience and our state-of-the-art products will provide manufacturers in the western US regions with a highly flexible and innovation solution to their palletising needs".

"The drawbacks of manual palletising, including employee injury, inefficiency and slow palletising speeds, are well known to today's manufacturers", said Brian Mullins, cofounder and co-Chairman of the board of directors for SEIS Group.

"Automating this process is a natural solution".

"With Kuka products and our integration capabilities we can give manufacturers a high performance, reliable system they need to improve and expand their business".

The Kuka KR 180 PA palletising robot is a light, fast and powerful robot developed especially for high-speed tasks with heavy payloads.

State-of-the-art materials (carbon fibre composites) make the robot extremely light, without sacrificing high stiffness.

Its FEM-optimised kinematics have been adapted especially for palletising.

The leaner design of this four-axis robot brings savings in maintenance and servicing.

Kuka's PalletTech palletising software is the company's industry leading palletising software developed to meet the increasing need to address flexibility and ease-of-use issues in complicated robotic palletising applications.

The software is a suite of application development and run time tools that reduces engineering and development time and enables the out-of-box implementation of complicated robotic palletising applications.
