New Compact Scara Robots Combined with Kuka User Friendly Controls Enables Easy to Use Automation Solutions
Kuka Robotics Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of industrial robots, has announced the introduction of its Kuka KR5 Scara robot family.
The new robot family is designed for customers with high speed applications that entail long reach tasks.
The new 4 axis robots when combined with Kuka Robotics' user friendly PC-based control platform gives customers an extremely easy to learn and use pick and place automation solution.
The new robots broaden the Kuka product line to include compact space-saving robots that are among the fastest and most reliable robots in their class.
"Customers with pick and place, assembly or material handling applications where speed and ease of use are vital will find the Kuka Scara robots ideal," said Kevin Kozuszek, director of marketing for Kuka Robotics Corporation.
"Our customers rely on the Kuka control technology to enable simple installation, start-up and programming of their robots and now with the addition of these smaller and lighter weight robots these same benefits can be applied to a broader range of applications." The Kuka KR5 Scara robot family includes 350mm and 550mm reach models and are capable of handling payloads up to 5kg.
The 4 axis robots' light weight gives the robot optimum acceleration and maximum working velocities.
