KEB will be demonstrating its latest portfolio of products at Drives and Controls in May 2002 at the UK National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.

Dirk Boysen, KEB UK's managing director said: "As a one-stop-shop provider of electrical and power transmission solutions we continually strive to offer our customers the best.

This is reflected by our release of an exciting new range of products right across the electrical and mechanical power transmission spectrum.

For us, Drives and Controls 2002 is the ideal showcase to bring our products and services to the attention of the market place".

Among the products on display will be KEB's new Combivert F5 family of sophisticated and user-friendly drives, comprising the Basic, General and Multi ranges.

The drives feature a wide range of power outputs and easy programming, facilitated by a detachable programming interface, which together with an advanced PC package and wide choice of field-bus interfaces saves both setup and system management costs.

Of particular interest is the F5 Multi range, which offers both open and closed loop operation for AC induction and servo motors.

For the first time in the UK, is KEB's working demonstration of its electrical cam profile software, Combicam, which brings much needed manufacturing flexibility to the market place.

This package features easy setup of up to eight cam profiles for each servo drive and rapid profile changes, together with programmable boundary parameters and clear graphical representation of continuous cam profiles, allowing the user to quickly develop the ideal cam profile.

As a new addition to its comprehensive range of mechanical transmission solutions such as clutches, brakes and gearboxes, the company is also exhibiting its new Type 38 brake series.

This spring applied safety brake features a wide variety of torque ratings in addition to special versions, enabling the brake to ideally match a host of applications.

A major theme of the exhibition is the impact of the climate change levy on industry.

Not only will there be a special energy saving area at the show, but the organisers have also created a special emblem to identify companies whose products qualify for the UK Government's Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECA).

KEB will be one such company displaying the emblem as its family of F5 inverters, as well as other products, such as its F4 inverters, S4 servo systems and the R4 regen units are all approved for both schemes.
