Wide range of drives feature fieldbus connectivity
A new range of easy-to-program drives cover a wide range of power ratings from 0.37 to 75kW at 230V (1/3 phase) and 0.37 to 315kW at 400V (3 phase) and offer fieldbus connectivity
EMC hits the road in drive for compliance
Manufacturers and operators of electrical equipment need to ensure that their electrical equipment complies with the latest EMC regulations.
And at the company's Schneeberg plant, new production facilities have been established in response to increasing demand for its geared motors.
The expansion at Barntrup involves 6200m2 of new production space, 1500m2 of new office space and investment of GBP 6.5 million in plant and machinery.
The new facilities are now the new home for the design, sales and production of the company's electromechanical products.
Formerly located elsewhere on the Barntrup site, the space released by this move has been occupied by the production line for the new F5 Combivert drive, allowing KEB to phase in production of the F5 drive without compromising the availability and quality of its existing F4 drive range.
The company's F5 drives are suitable for either AC or DC input connection and cover a wide range of power ratings from 0.37 to 75kW at 230V (1/3 phase) and 0.37 to 315kW at 400V (3 phase).
Easy programming is facilitated by the detachable programming interface which together with a sophisticated PC package and field-bus connectivity saves both setup and system management costs.
KEB's expansion of geared motor production at the Schneeberg site involves the creation of 9000m2 of production space, 1500m2 of office space and GBP 7 million investment in plant and machinery.
In order to meet increasing demand for the company's popular Combigear range of geared motors building additional production facilities was essential.
The Combigear range comprises inline helical, helical bevel, helical shaft-mounted and helical worm geared motors.
Schneeberg also produces gearbox drive motor combinations for decentralised automation.
