Kulite has been selected to supply pressure transducers for a number of applications on the Airbus A380 aircraft, underpinning its position at the forefront of pressure transducer technology.
Kulite has been selected to supply pressure transducers for a number of applications on the Airbus A380 aircraft, underpinning its position at the forefront of pressure transducer technology.
The applications are on both engine and airframe, being selected by, among others: Rolls-Royce to supply engine oil and fuel pressure transducers; Messier Bugatti for tyre pressure, hydraulic oil and temperature transducers; and by Liebherr for bleed air monitoring transducers.
The Kulite approach of combining functions is a significant factor in selection in today's aerospace market place.
Kulite's ability to offer transducers with single to quadruple outputs, together with combined functions of temperature and pressure, allows less hardware to be fitted saving space and weight, which is at a premium in the latest generation of aircrafts.
To date Kulite has been selected for applications requiring in excess of 59 transducers per A380 aircraft and Kulite is proud to be involved in the latest Airbus programme for the next generation of civilian aircraft.
