A new series of miniature pressure transducers is ideally suited for automotive applications where size and weight are at a premium.

A new series of miniature pressure transducers is ideally suited for automotive applications where size and weight are at a premium.

The ETQ-12-375 (M) series of transducers features a hermetically sealed, all welded construction together with an integral connector.

They are flush diaphragm units using standard components commonly used in aerospace applications, coupled with Kulite's tried and tested piezoresistive sensor, as the sensing element.

Mounted within the body of the transducer is a three-wire proprietary hybrid microelectronic regulator-amplifier which provides a stable, low-noise 5V DC output from an 8-16V DC supply.

Additional technical features include secondary containment and single ended amplifier.

The flush diaphragm is protected against mechanical damage by a protective screen and the devices are compatible with all automotive fluids.

A version for intrinsically safe applications is also available.

The ETQ-12-375 (M) series features an input pressure range from 50 to 5000lb/in2 and can withstand vibrations of up to 200g sinewave up to 10kHz and a mechanical shock of 100g for 11ms up to 5000g for 100us.
