A drop-in replacement for older type electromechanical synchro transducers (transmitters) is now available from Kulite Sensors.

A drop-in replacement for older type electromechanical synchro transducers (transmitters) is now available from Kulite Sensors.

The new APTE-4-2250 series is a synchro type IS pressure transducer featuring Kulite's patented silicon on insulator (SOI) piezoresistive sensors and custom electronics, offering significant improvements over electromechanical devices but retaining equivalent fit, form and function.

Benefiting from no moving parts, no friction or position errors and better accuracy and stability than its mechanical counterparts, the new APTE-4-2250 series transducer is also more cost-effective.

Being able to withstand high vibration and shock levels, the new device offers high reliability and high MTBF.

It is acceleration and vibration insensitive, hermetically sealed and EMI protected.

Flight certified and already used on DC-9 and MD-80 series aircrafts, the new synchro type transducer is designed for a pressure range from 0.1 to 690bar and an operating temperature range from -55 to +95C.

It can be used at any altitude and up to 100% humidity.

Proof pressure is twice full scale pressure and burst pressure is three times full scale pressure.
