Automation company makes sales appointments

Gary Taylor has joined KUKA Automation + Robotics as Aerospace Sales Manager and Tony Dowling is the company's new Robot Sales Specialist

KUKA Automation + Robotics has signalled its ambitions to further build on its success in the growing aerospace and food and beverage markets with two new appointments to its UK sales team.

Gary Taylor has joined the Halesowen-based company as Aerospace Sales Manager with special responsibility to promote and develop KUKA's extensive range of products to aircraft manufacturers and engine makers as well as major aero component suppliers.

He brings more than two decades of manufacturing experience to his new role and previously held a similar managerial position at the UK subsidiary of a top machine tool company.

Educated to degree level, Taylor is a father of two and lives in south Warwickshire.

"KUKA has identified the aerospace sector as one of its most important new business development areas".

"Robots and automated production systems will become even more vital to the aircraft industry as manufacturers and suppliers strive to deliver the volumes required to satisfy global demand", Taylor said.

Tony Dowling is KUKA's new Robot Sales Specialist for the food and beverage markets and has worked in the food industry for 13 years.

He has extensive expertise in food packaging, especially in the applications of cryogenics and food grade gases.

Before joining KUKA, he was responsible for selling and marketing equipment for use in the food processing and dairy sectors.

Dowling, who is married with two children and lives in Warwickshire, is also studying for an Open University degree in his spare time.

"Robotics not only mean food and beverage manufacturers can remain competitive by improving quality and reducing overheads, but they also offer a better working environment for staff", said Dowling.
