KV has launched a solenoid valve that utilises a 10ms power impulse to achieve on and off switching - making it ideal for applications where low power consumption is a critical factor

Once the impulse is removed, the valve's plunger stays in the 'latched' position and consumes no further power A reverse impulse from the power source switches the valve to the closed position once more

The units are designed to operate over a pressure range of zero to 25 bar and in ambient temperatures from -10 to +50C.

They are suitable for applications where low power consumption is critical.

Under normal operating conditions - where a battery is used as the power source, a battery life of up to five years can be expected.
