Lever-operated pneumatic valves beat the cold

A KV product story

Because winter temperatures can play havoc with manual pneumatic valves, a lever-operated design for low-temperature industrial applications could prove to be a good idea

Because winter temperatures can play havoc with manual pneumatic valves, KV has introduced its KVL Lever-Operated Series.

Originally developed for transportation sectors, the valves are now being used in low-temperature industrial applications.

The low temperature capability is achieved by careful material selection.

The aluminium spool is perfectly matched with polyurethane seals and PPS carriers - thereby optimising sealing throughout the operational temperature range (-20C to +60C).

To improve corrosion resistance, the end caps, manufactured from acetal and nylon 66, are retained by stainless-steel screws.

Finally, to prevent dirt ingress, the operating lever is shrouded by a sturdy rubber gaiter.

With G1/4 ports the units are available in 3/2, 5/2 and 5/3 configurations.

The valves incorporate a balanced spool which enables connection in normally open or normally closed formats across the working pressure range (-1 to 10 bar).
