One of a very few success stories to come out of the UK manufacturing sectors recently is the launch of the new KV Mobile Systems Division.

KV, one of the few privately owned pneumatics companies in the UK, specialises in the design and manufacture of pneumatic and electropneumatic systems and components for a multitude of industries worldwide.

For over 30 years, the company has serviced the transport industry with a diverse range of economical, transport-approved products and services.

The expertise and experience gained in these applications all over the world during this period, has been brought together into one Division resourced and equipped to meet the growing demands of the Transport industry.

Speaking of the benefits the new division brings to customers, Division Head Martin Sanders, says, " Over many years, we have built up an enviable reputation for the reliability, ease of installation and design ingenuity of our products.

The new division is firmly focused on the transport industries and offers customers a truly global network of service and support with tailor made solutions, compact modular design and products built to ISO 9001 quality standards", he added.

KV's design engineers have a wealth of experience and the ability to ensure that a customer's exact requirements are met economically but without compromise to safety or quality.

Whether it's an individual control valve needing to operate at extremes of temperature and voltage, or a complete electro-pneumatic control system, the KV design team can use the latest computer technology to provide the solution.

This is backed by the latest "state of the art" rapid prototyping facility - all in-house for even quicker response - which allows the design to become a working prototype in a very short space of time, thus minimising development costs and without the need for very expensive tooling.

The leading companies in the rail, bus and coach as well as commercial vehicle industries have used KV's pneumatic components and control systems, Amongst the many applications included in the KV portfolio of products are passenger door control, internal/external door actuators, vacuum toilet control modules, toilet waste valves, air suspension Kneeling modules as well as 3rd axle lift systems.

In addition KV manufactures purpose-designed components for use in braking systems, traction control, couplers and the majority of other rail systems.

Sanders concludes "The growing demands of the transport sector, combined with a declining skill base within the engineering sector has placed KV in a strong position to assist and meet our customers growing needs.

By dedicating the necessary resources to meet the growing demands of our customers emphasises KV's commitment to this venture".
