KV has expanded the size of the current range of ISO and VDMA and added completely new cylinder types under the series name Ultra.

The Ultra series offers conventional cylinders from 08mm up to 0320mm, double, single or through rod actions and with stainless steel options.

Magnetic or non-magnetic versions are available.

Clean line requirements are met using the Ultra-Hi-Pac roundline cylinder for bore sizes 032mm to 063mm or the Ultra Power cylinder for bore sizes 032mm to 0125 that conforms to ISO 6431 and VDMA 24562.

Said to be ideal for fast response actuation for clamping, conveying and tool holding, the Ultra-Clamp cylinder comes in 012mm to 063 bore, and stroke lengths from 5mm to 100mm, whilst the Ultra-Lite short stroke series from 032mm to 063mm has strokes from 5mm to 300mm.

The Ultra cylinders are designed for heavy-duty use and are of tie rod construction with non-magnetic, chrome plated piston rods as standard.

The cylinders start at 0160mm and are available up to 0320mm bore with standard strokes up to 500mm.

The series is completed with the Ultraline range of rodless cylinders from 018mm to 063mm bore and stroke lengths up to 6000mm.

The rodless cylinders contain flexible porting to allow single or dual end porting in the standard endcap said KV.

Additional features include single or double adjustable slide bearings that can be easily retro-fitted, precision fine thread needle adjusted cushioning and a unique sealing system that allows slow speed operation with minimal stiction.

Where the available space envelope is very limited, the compact version of the Ultraline rodless cylinder has a basic length up to 40 per cent shorter than conventional Rodless cylinders.

As with all cylinders in the Ultra series, a wide selection of cylinder mounts is available, together with sensor switches to control operation.
