Conduits go round the bend underground
Supplying high-spec conduits in areas where the effects of fire constitute an extreme hazard and where flexibility is paramount is not unusual for conduit manufacturer Kopex International.
Kopex has established a reputation for meeting the demands of top end applications including such demanding situations as the construction or refurbishment of military establishments.
The different types of conduit produced are capable of withstanding the harshest exposure conditions: the LT-H, liquid type flexible conduit, for instance, being resistant to Skydrol aerospace lubricant.
The range of products available has NATO stock numbers (NSNs), meaning they are fully approved for a wide range of MOD applications including naval shipbuilding.
Unlike some product ranges on the market, Kopex ensures the electromagnetic compatibility of its conduits covers the connectors as part of the system.
The manufacturer's research and development department has been investing time and effort to address the increasing demand for protection against electromagnetic pulse (EMP).
Group Marketing Manager, Martyn Turner, observes: "As a British based manufacturer and supplier to the building services sector we have taken the initiative of establishing an improved network of accredited specialist stockists".
"This will improve our offer to the defence industry and other sectors where our products carry all the relevant technical accreditations".
"Crucially, we can offer optimum solutions to specialist application demands".
Kopex is underpinning its restructuring of its distribution network with both technical support and various point of sale items.
The latter includes a new display stand to carry key components and the company's newly revised literature.
The sales team have also been given new sample cases, and anyone in the industry can access the redesigned and easily navigable website.
