Flexible non-metallic electrical conduit provides high levels of EMC screening to protect critical machinery which must not be subject to interference.

Where high levels of EMC screening are required for the protection of critical machinery which must not be subject to interference, the choice of electrical conduit is important.

To meet this need Screenflex 3, the flexible non-metallic electrical conduit from Kopex International, is available and well suited to applications within hazardous, MoD, food and healthcare industries.

In construction, Screenflex 3 is overbraided with stainless steel over a nylon core to promote its EMC screening capability which is rated at 60dB at 1MHz.

The overbraiding also provides protection against abrasion, which is important when installed in equipment that may vibrate or flex when in use.

With a temperature rating of -5 to +120C in flexing applications and -40 to +120C in static applications, Screenflex 3 is suitable for most healthcare equipment applications.

It is safe with the nylon rated to UL 94 VO.

Flames die in less than 30s under specific test conditions.

The associated Screenflex 3 straight male connector is made from aluminium and is ingress protection rated to IP66.

It is part of a family of flexible conduits for specialist markets.
