Flexible conduit firm receives Kite Mark
Third party certification from the BSI awarded to flexible conduit firm making it fully compliant with the new international standard IEC 61386 (BS EN 61386).
Kopex International has gained third party certification from the BSI, making it compliant with IEC 61386 (BS EN 61386) Kopex is, globally, the first company in this field to achieve Kite Mark certification to this standard
Replacing the existing EN 50086 European flexible conduit systems standard, Kite Mark certification to the new international IEC 61386 demonstrates that Kopex products meet performance specifications including fatigue life, operating temperature, non-flame propagation and other criteria.
The BSI Kite Mark is internationally respected as a symbol of quality, safety and trust.
Customers in the food processing, healthcare, hazardous area, MoD and other specialist markets can specify the conduit knowing it has received independent third party certification.
IEC 61386 will fully replace EN 50086 by 2007.
