Kopex International's ATEX Flameproof Gland range is designed for use with its range of liquid tight flexible conduits.
IECEx certification is designed to cross national boundaries and set an international standard of conformance; the scheme is aimed at facilitating international trade in electrical equipment while maintaining the required level of safety.
Already most of Europe and countries from Australia to China and the USA are participating.
IECEx certification is more extensive than existing ATEX certification and this is attractive for Kopex International - with its worldwide market the company can now sell its equipment to selected countries outside the EU without obtaining further approvals.
In situations where compliance to existing national standards are still required - such as in countries with extreme temperatures or other hazardous operating conditions - Kopex can verify product conformance through its IECEx test results.
