Cyclops 53, a general purpose high temperature thermometer providing fast reliable readings from 600 to 3000C, is one of a complete new range of high temperature portable infrared thermometers

A complete new range of high temperature Cyclops portable infrared thermometers is now available from Land Infrared.

Cyclops 53 is a general purpose high temperature thermometer providing fast reliable readings from 600 to 3000C in steel, glass, refractories, heat treatment, semi-conductors and many more applications.

Short wavelength operation (0.8 to 1.0um) and a narrow field of view (208:1) permits measurement of high temperature targets down to 4.8mm at 1m distance.

Targets as small 0.4mm diameter can be measured using optional close-up lenses.

Cyclops 153 and 153A offering digital (RS232C) or both digital and analog (1mV/deg) outputs respectively.

Additional protective rubber surfaces, lens hood, sealed switches and a built-in eye protection filter make the C153 ideal for use in hostile industrial environments such as the steel and glass works.

With an expanded range covering 500 to 3200C and extended emissivity compensation up to 1.3, Cyclops 153/153A can be programmed to provide reflectivity compensation for measuring targets in hotter surroundings.

Cyclops MeltMaster is designed specifically to help reduce the cost of temperature measurement of liquid iron and steel in foundries, which is traditionally taken using disposable dip thermocouples.

Temperature measurement ranges from 1000 to 1800C, with repeatability to 0.3%.

The unique short wavelength operation at 0.55um minimises errors caused by variable emissivity in liquid metals.

It has a fixed focus sighting giving 29mm diameter target spot size at 5m.

Cyclops FurnacePro completes the picture, ranging from 450 to 1300C on gas and oil fired furnaces with a narrow spectral response centred on 3.9um to eliminate the effects of combustion gases.

FurnacePro can also be used with a portable industrial computer operating a special program that calculates and corrects for reflection errors from hotter background temperatures in furnaces, allowing the true target temperature to be logged.
