Monitoring bulk material temperatures on
the move
A new range of on-line temperature measurement instrumentation is suitable for monitoring temperatures of moving webs and products to 1400C wherever bulk materials are transported by conveyor
The latest range of on-line temperature measurement instrumentation from Land Infrared makes the benefits of infrared linescanning available to a wider range of manufacturing applications The new Land ScanTemp linescanner systems are suitable for monitoring temperatures of moving webs and products within the range 0 to 1400C in manufacturing processes such as paper, textiles, carpet and floor covering, and plastics and rubber, and almost any industry where bulk materials are transported by conveyor

More compact infrared radiation thermometer
With overall dimensions of only 18.6mm diameter x 118mm, the new miniature MF3 infrared radiation thermometer is ideal for continuous, on-line industrial applications in a tight corner
Metals processing applications are also catered for including induction and conductive heating, forging, rod and wire manufacture, heat treatment and tube welding.
ScanTemp optically scans across the width of the product surface and generates a detailed, accurate temperature profile.
A built-in LED projects a continuous red spot to define the measurement point on the target.
For maximum flexibility, the range includes separate models for wide and narrow angle scanning purposes, each offering a choice of thermometer types and scanner modules that can be combined to meet the requirements of the particular application.
The ScanTemp STW wide angle series has an adjustable scan angle from 5 to 60deg, with a scan rate adjustable from 25 to 120deg/s and three 4 to20mA output options - temperature only, temperature and scan angle, and temperature and peak.
The STN-P series has a fixed, narrow scan angle of 6deg.
Scan rate is adjustable from 12 to 72deg/s, and the 4 to 20mA output shows peak temperature. Request a free brochure from Land Instruments International ...
