Land Instruments International claims to be the first instrumentation company to offer a three-year warranty as standard on a range of infra-red temperature measurement products.

It was introduced from 1st May 2002 for many of the company's key fixed, online system products.

As well as System 4 thermometers, Landmark signal processors, and Uno thermometers, which are used throughout manufacturing industry, the warranty covers a number of application-dedicated systems: ABTS (for aluminium extrusion); FTS (reheating furnaces); VDT and DTT (glass optical fibres); and FLT5 (flat glass).

"The infra-red temperature measurement market is showing signs of moving towards 24-month warranties, so our 36-month duration provides a clear statement of Land's intention to maintain its position as the premium solution provider", said fixed systems product manager Lyndon Jones.

"Furthermore, it demonstrates our confidence in our product quality, our commitment to producing the most reliable and durable instruments on the market, and our intention to improve continually the service and value for money we deliver to our diverse customer base".
