Transmission system protects forklift
tyres

The Lamerholm TP transmission protection system saves tyres and protects transmission when operating forklift trucks, saving companies up to 300% of their tyre costs.

Lamerholm Electronics has released the Lamerholm TP transmission protection system, designed to save tyres and protect transmission when operating forklift trucks This new product complements Lamerholm's existing range of ImpactManager equipment monitors for improving forklift safety and therefore saving money throughout the materials handling industry

This comprehensive range of products will be on show on stand 19J162 at IMHX in March 2007.

The Lamerholm TP is a microprocessor-based control system with features designed to protect transmission and save tyres, preventing operators from slamming the truck from forward to reverse above a pre-set speed and adjustable engine revs/min.

It also stops the trucks being used as bulldozers and limits fast starts.

The system works by allowing the gearbox and drive train to be totally passive when changing direction.

This protects the forklift truck from potential wheel spin and premature drive train failure.

By installing this cost-effective system, companies can save up to 300% in tyre wear costs per annum, as well as substantially reducing damage and ensures operators drive safely around the plant or yard.

The product has been designed to fit onto all major truck makes and models and is available as a complete kit with full installation instructions.

Its compact design means it can be easily hidden, if required and there is full anti-tamper and fault diagnostics built into the dashboard display.

A green light shows when the driver is allowed to change direction and red warning lights have been built in to indicate an engine or speed signal fault.

As well as the display, a buzzer will sound to alert the driver to any potential problems. Request a free brochure from Lamerholm Electronics ...
