The voluntary emigration of one of its engineers has enabled Laidler Associates to open an office in Australia.

Based in Queensland, Frank Ireland will be offering a range of machinery safety services, covering compliance with European and Australian safety legislation.

Although Laidler Associates (Australia) has barely been formed, Ireland has already worked for the Australian branches of several UK-based clients.

"Many Australian companies need to comply with European legislation due to their exporting business.

On top of this there are similarities between Australian and European machinery legislation", commented Ireland.

"Further developments will include producing Australian modules for the Laidler Risk Management software".
