Laidler Associates will be available to answer questions on the new Machinery Directive at the Process and Packaging Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham from 29 September to 1 October 2009.

The Machinery Directive is scheduled to come into force in the UK on 29 December 2009.

The company will also attend the Health and Safety 09 - North event taking place at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton on 6-7 October.

Laidler has been appointed by the Process and Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA) as the preferred supplier of technical consultancy services relating to regulatory matters.

It will be offering a range of advisory and consulting services, including free telephone/email support for members of the PPMA.

Specialists from the company will be available during the course of the event to answer questions from visitors regarding machinery safety.

Visitors to Stand B103 will also be able to pick up a free copy of 'A Practical Guide to Machinery Safety'.

At Health and Safety 09 - North, representatives from Laidler will again be on hand to answer questions regarding the new directive or the EMC Directive.

At the Bolton exhibition, Laidler will be co-exhibiting with Safety Systems Technology, part of the Laidler Group, and visitors can register to attend free Machinery Directive workshops, which both companies will run, taking place in the north west on 17 November and in the Midlands on 18 November.

These workshops will highlight the changes and implications of the directive.
