Geomagic Qualify is an industry-leading automated inspection software program that speeds processes, provides in-depth analysis and ensures repeatability.
Laser Design will begin shipping Geomagic Qualify version 9 with its 3D laser scanners in early January 2007.
Geomagic Qualify is an industry-leading automated inspection software program that speeds processes, provides in-depth analysis and ensures repeatability.
Laser Design markets Qualify coupled with its 3D scanners as an integrated system for first-article inspection, inline or shop-floor inspection, trend analysis, 2D and 3D geometric dimensioning, and automated reporting.
The company will also provide updates to its existing customers who already use the Geomagic Qualify software program.

The latest release of Qualify 9 supports multiple co-ordinate systems, enhances 2D dimensioning, and provides direct access to CAD geometry.
It is a powerful tool for digital inspection applications and analysis.

"All customers with active Geomagic Qualify maintenance contracts are entitled to this latest release", added Alberto Griffa, Senior Product Manager for Geomagic Qualify and Geomagic Blade.
When Geomagic Qualify 9 is combined with the new Geomagic Blade extension, it constitutes a powerful tool for digital inspection in the turbomachinery industry.
The new Blade extension provides multiple airfoil analysis and internal blade analysis, along with the analysis of rotors, stators, impellers, and internal blade features.
Along with the improvements in the Qualify 9 functionality, it also offers a series of direct importers.
These eliminate the need for intermediate neutral files such as Iges or Step.
Single parts and assemblies can be imported, as well as subsets of the geometry.
This means faster and higher quality access to CAD geometry, and does away with the file management and versioning considerations usually associated with file translations.
Multiple CAD importers can run on the same machine, so work can be done on more than one file at a time, making comparisons easy.
To receive the upgraded release 9 licence, customers should load the Qualify 9 software from the CD and the licence wizard will walk them through requesting the upgrade licence, or they can request the new licence through the website.
