Physik Instrumente have introduced a new low cost manual translation stage with piezoelectric drive option The carriage, providing 18mm of travel, is spring preloaded against the micrometer tip for excellent repeatability and elimination of backlash
An all stainless steel construction and precision crossed roller bearing guides guarantee a straightness of travel of better than 2 micrometers and a maximum normal load capacity of 10Kg.
The stage can be configured into XY and XYZ combinations and an optional piezoelectric micrometer drive can provide 30 micrometers of precision control with a resolution of 10 nanometres.
Prices start at just £182 for a single axis stage.
